Austin Sherman is a shareholder in Carr Allison’s Jacksonville (FL) office. Austin is admitted to practice in Florida and in the US District Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. He focuses his practice on defending matters involving personal injury, government torts and public liability, medical malpractice, transportation, premises liability and commercial litigation.
Austin is a proud Double Gator and graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. During his time as an undergraduate, he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity, the Florida Blue Key and Student Government Senate. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law where he graduated cum laude and was selected for the Order of the Coif. In law school, Austin served as vice president of the Moot Court Team, vice president of the John Marshall Bar Association, tapping chairman of the Florida Blue Key, and teaching assistant for legal writing and trial practice. He also received the book award for Civil Procedure, Trusts and Estates and International Business Practices. Professionally, Austin has been recognized by Super Lawyers® as a Rising Star in Personal Injury Defense (2022-2023), by The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch® in commercial litigation, personal injury defense, medical malpractice defense, and insurance law (since 2021). He is also a recipient of the Fourth Judicial Circuit Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award (2018).
