Catherine E. Morgen concentrates her practice on the representation of real estate clients engaged in the acquisition, development, leasing and disposition of commercial real estate, with experience handling large multi-state transactions, hospitality properties, office, medical and industrial leasing, as well as complex restrictive covenant and easement transactions that deal with the operational aspects of projects which rely on shared facilities and amenities and fractional ownership structure transactions.
Catherine also represents institutional real estate lenders, borrowers and investors, including financial institutions, REITs and pension fund advisors. Catherine specializes in a wide variety of financing transactions including permanent and construction financing, multi-state collateral pools for revolving credit facilities and mortgage loan servicing. Her representations extend beyond loan origination and servicing to workouts, loan restructuring and foreclosures, as well as the sale of foreclosed assets.
Catherine has significant experience representing developers, owners and managers of hotel properties in effecting acquisitions, dispositions and mergers, developing their properties, structuring and negotiating operating and management agreements, arranging financing, reviewing franchise agreements and leasing.
In addition, Catherine has written and spoken on a variety of real estate matters including easements, development and leasing. Chambers USA ranks both Catherine and MMM's Hospitality practice as among the top in the country for Leisure & Hospitality law.
