Christopher K. Wrampelmeier practices exclusively in the area of Family Law and was Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Certification in 2000. Chris’s family law cases come from all 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle. Besides litigation, he prepares premarital and marital property agreements, represents clients in collaborative law matters, and mediates family law suits. He frequently speaks on family law issues at the local and state level. Chris served on the Texas State Bar’s Family Law Practice Manual Committee and is serving a second term on the Family Law Council. He has been a member of the Legislative Committee of the State Bar’s Family Law Section since 2000. He is also active in the Texas Family Law Foundation and has headed its Bill Review Committee since 2007.Mr. Wrampelmeier was born in Amman, Jordan into a State Department family. He lived in Saudi Arabia and Zambia, in addition to Washington, DC. His high school years were at Groton School, a boarding school in Groton, Massachusetts. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University. Upon graduation, he served four years on active duty as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Chris received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law in 1993 and began his practice with the Underwood Law Firm that fall.Chris is the Archdeacon of the Episcopal Diocese of Northwest Texas. He is a board member and former president of the Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society, counselor and former board member of the Downtown Women’s Center, and a member of the board of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. He and his wife, Hortencia, have three children.
