Danny is an accomplished trial and appellate lawyer. He leads TGF’s construction and infrastructure practices.

Danny regularly acts for public and private companies in construction, lien and insurance disputes. He has litigated disputes involving mines, transit systems, highways, railway systems, tunnels, aircraft, housing and condominium developments and environmental failures. Danny has worked on cases involving some of Ontario’s most complex infrastructure projects, including most recently the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, the expansion of Hwy 427 and the Ottawa Combined Sewage Stormwater tunnel.

Danny frequently appears before all levels of court in Ontario and before arbitral and regulatory tribunals as lead counsel. He has extensive experience with real-time litigation, including bringing and defending injunctions. Danny is often asked to sit on bench and bar committees.

Aside from his construction practice, Danny is an accomplished commercial litigator. He has experience litigating shareholder, director and officer, estates, franchise and executive employment disputes. He also has experience in professional negligence cases acting against accountants, designers, architects and engineers.

Danny is a frequent speaker on the Construction Act, prompt payment and adjudication as well as other matters relating to civil litigation.

  • Joint ventures and public companies in complex construction, engineering and design disputes involving public-private-partnership infrastructure projects across Ontario. Mandates have included transit systems, multi-modal stations, mines, aircraft, highways and sewage infrastructure;
  • Property development companies and constructors. Mandates include disputes over construction of low- and high-rise residential and mixed-use projects, property acquisition and cost-sharing issues;
  • Aerospace manufacturers in supply chain and product liability disputes;
