Daniel Kim is Counsel in the firm’s Real Estate, Tax, and Real Property Taxation & Incentives Groups. Daniel focuses his practice on all aspects of local property taxation, and State and local public incentives. He advises clients on complex property tax issues for all types of asset classes.
Daniel has extensive experience negotiating Payment In Lieu of Tax (PILOT) agreements for clients of redevelopment projects throughout the State. He has worked on securing and negotiating PILOT agreements for many large-scale redevelopment projects of various property types. In addition, Daniel advises clients in various State incentive programs, such as the Sales and Use Tax Exemption Program, Film and Digital Media Tax Credit, Aspire Program, and Emerge Program.
Prior to joining CSG Law, Daniel focused his practice on representing clients in eminent domain litigation, and related issues in connection with condemnation proceedings, including blight designation challenges, relocation disputes, and real property valuation issues.
Daniel earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School and his B.A., cum laude, from Montclair State University. While in law school, he served as the Senior Managing Editor of Rutgers Race & the Law Review. Daniel served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Mala Sundar of the Tax Court of New Jersey.
