David Boone Wieland

David Boone Wieland, is a third-generation Workers' Compensation attorney born and raised in the Orlando area. Mr. Wieland joined Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele (MIJS) in 2024 as a member of the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Defense department. His legal career has been primarily dedicated to litigating Workers’ Compensation claims, where he has gained extensive experience representing both injured workers seeking benefits and defending employers and their carriers against claims.

David primarily operates out of the Orlando and Jacksonville offices and handles claims throughout Florida. His practice is focused primarily in the area of Workers’ Compensation Defense and General Liability. David leverages his comprehensive experience from handling cases on both sides to advocate for and represent employers and their insurance carriers in defending Workers' Compensation claims.

David serves on the Florida Bar’s Workers’ Compensation Rules Advisory Committee and is actively involved in various legal organizations, including the Orange County Bar Association, the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Florida Bar, and the Judge William Wieland American Inn of Court. Mr. Wieland’s contributions have been recognized by the American Bar Association, where he was honored as one of the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America 2025 in the areas of Insurance Law and Workers’ Compensation Law - Employers.

A native of Orlando, Florida, David is also a proud double graduate of Florida State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance and his Juris Doctorate from the College of Law. When not in the office, David enjoys traveling with his wife, engaging in all manner of water sports, and spending time with his rescue animals.
