Domenique Camacho Moran is an employment lawyer litigating employment disputes of all types before federal and state courts, arbitration tribunals (e.g., FINRA, JAMS and AAA) and before administrative agencies in New York. An accomplished problem solver, Domenique provides sophisticated counsel to owners, leadership, and c-suite executives at startup companies, closely held and middle market businesses, educational organizations, and not-for-profit agencies. She brings her extensive experience navigating the federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations that govern the employer-employee relationship. She is an invaluable strategic resource for clients as they manage daily operations, make critical business decisions, and seek dispute resolution. Clients appreciate Domenique’s ability to distill their goals and needs, mitigate potential problems, provide strategies for best business practices, and stay ahead of important changes in the law.
As an advocate and litigator, Domenique serves as lead counsel for complex employment lawsuits, representing management in jury trials and hearings before federal and state courts, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings. Domenique is a trial lawyer, having first-chaired trials and arbitrations to conclusion. She defends matters related to Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the New York Labor Law and the New York Human Rights Law, among others. While an effective trial lawyer, she is highly capable of bringing disparate parties to agreement, resolving problems in productive and complete ways.
As an employment counselor, Domenique provides companies proactive advice on the practical and legal implications of everyday employment decisions. Domenique oversees the development of employee handbooks and personnel policies, negotiates contracts and separation agreements, advises companies addressing cultural issues, and guides employers facing reorganizations and reductions in workforce. She also conducts internal investigations into allegations of employee misconduct, hostile workplaces, and discrimination with sensitivity and impartiality.
Domenique is a dynamic trainer for executive teams, crafting customized evergreen and emerging employment programming. Local and national professional services firms, construction companies, retail operations, manufacturing companies, colleges and universities, and food service providers choose Domenique and her team to conduct mission-critical sexual harassment training for their employees as a risk minimization strategy. Other training topics she covers include effective management techniques, human resources fundamentals, litigation avoidance, preventing workplace harassment and discrimination, conducting workplace investigations, and diversity awareness.
Domenique is a champion, advocate, and mentor for women professionals. She strongly believes that supporting women’s career development benefits all members of a workforce. Accordingly, she enthusiastically advances the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives and facilitates events designed to celebrate women executives and their achievements.
Prior to joining Farrell Fritz, Domenique was a shareholder at an AMLaw 50 law firm focused on labor and employment.
