For nearly 40 years, Preston has been representing clients in a variety of complex commercial real estate matters. The breadth of his practice includes sales, acquisitions, leases, development, utilities, financing and loan restructuring. He regularly counsels healthcare clients across the region in major land acquisitions and development projects, including sites for hospitals, medical office buildings, ambulatory centers and more.
Preston’s experience includes two decades of representing an international convenience store chain in land acquisition, development and lease negotiations. He has also counseled major lenders and national banks through various workout agreements. Though today he mostly represents purchasers, clients appreciate Preston’s knowledge of both sides of a real estate transaction.
When it comes to his legal practice, Preston’s priority is listening: He strives to ask the right questions and understand his clients’ goals down to the detail. He’s known for his diligence in leaving no stone unturned in pursuing the best solution for clients.
Preston and his wife of 40+ years have three grown children, one of whom is also a lawyer. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching baseball, attending Jacksonville Jaguars games, and playing with his grandchildren.
