George J. Murphy is the Administrative Director in charge of Gibbons’ Philadelphia Office. Mr. Murphy is a trial lawyer who practices primarily in pharmaceutical and products liability, professional liability, employment and major casualty litigation, class actions and multidistrict litigation. From 1979 to 1984, he was an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia where his success as a trial attorney led to his promotion to the habitual offender unit of that office. He has tried over 100 jury trials, many involving pharmaceuticals, medical products or other sophisticated equipment. He is a frequent author and lecturer on various mass tort and trial topics, and is a faculty member at the 2006 IADC Trial Academy at Stanford Law School.
