Hubert Mortemard de boisse

Hubert started in the law in 1999 in the competition law team at what was then Archibald Andersen Legal, before joining the Paris office of the London law firm Bird & Bird in 2001. He was admitted as a partner in that firm in 2008. From there he went on to found Lexcase Avocats in May 2009.

His practice at Lexcase, spanning a period of 12 years with a team of 4 lawyers, covered business litigation, competition law and an expertise in the field of regulated sectors of business in France. During that period, he was also appointed managing partner of the firm.

At the end of 2020 he decided to hand over the management of the firm which by then employed over 50 lawyers including 14 partners in their offices in Paris, Lyon & Marseilles. The firm also operated a legal seminars business called LexFormation.

In 2022, Hubert decided that the time had come to form a more agile structure (Bunch) with his three amazing partners, whilst adding on a personal business project, advising and accompanying other law firms, called Flex Management. In 2019 he was one of the principal movers of a new Legal Tech called MyFormality involving legal and accounting professionals in a ‘marketplace’ or platform facilitating legal and accounting formalities for business people. My Formality, in which he is still actively involved, is in a phase of expansion having raised 600k€ additional seed capital in September 2022.

A passionate believer in solidarity and evolution of the legal profession (and elsewhere!), he has been an active member of the Lyon Bar Council since 2017 and was re-elected for 3 years in September 2021.
