J. Everett "Everett" Wilson

Everett Wilson is the Managing Partner of Polsinelli's Miami Office and a Shareholder in Polsinelli’s Health Care Practice Group. With over 30 years of legal and business experience, his practice is devoted to the representation of health care providers, insurers and other entities involved in the health care industry.

A health care regulatory attorney with a business and finance background, Everett’s focus is on issues related to Medicare and Medicaid managed care, value-based care and risk arrangements, and health care M&A. The M&A teams led by Everett have been involved in some of the more significant transactions in the Florida health care market, as well as significant upper middle-market transactions throughout the country – with Everett taking the lead on the regulatory, due diligence and negotiation of the business issues specific to health care transactions.

Due to his thorough understanding of the health care industry, he is uniquely positioned to provide strategic counsel on a full spectrum of health care legal and business issues and projects. In that role, Everett regularly assists clients in the implementation of their strategic vision, whether by way of growth, the latest business models and related “best practices”, and/or expansion of current business lines.

He has extensive experience in the Medicare Advantage and Medicaid managed care arena, with a particular emphasis on full-risk and alternative value based arrangements, as well as the establishment and operation of provider-based health plans, provider networks and MSOs.

On the transactional side, he has a proven track record in the representation of founders in the planning, growth, and ultimate sale of health care companies to private equity and institutional buyers in significant middle market transactions. Further, apart from established health care clients, he also advises SPAC’s, private equity, family offices and other health care entrepreneurs and investors as to the health care industry and, in particular, the Florida marketplace.
