As a Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Peace was the President of the Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy from 1996 until 1997. He was also Chair of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy from 2000 until 2001. He is a member of the Arkansas Society of CPAs and the AICPA.
Mr. Peace is a Fellow with the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is a member of Taxation Section with the American Bar Association and the Arkansas Bar Association where he was Chair of this section in 1983.
Mr. Peace is married; his wife, Pamela, is a retired French teacher. They have three children – Amy, Bethany and Michael – and four grandchildren. Mr. Peace is a licensed pilot and enjoys traveling.
