Josh Koziebrocki is the principal lawyer and founder of Koziebrocki Law. Josh is an experienced litigation lawyer and advocate who has appeared extensively before courts, tribunals, and regulatory bodies. His practice focuses on defending professionals in regulatory and disciplinary proceedings. He works with professionals in difficult and challenging situations involving their license to practice. Josh has represented countless professionals before licensing bodies from the complaint process and investigations through to discipline hearings. He has appeared as counsel at numerous regulatory hearings and at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada.
Josh routinely represents corporations who employ and work with regulated professionals. He has also acted as independent legal counsel to discipline committees and as amicus curiae in discipline proceedings at regulated Colleges. Josh has a unique appreciation of how professionals are regulated in Canada and frequently lectures on legal topics relevant to professionals. Josh is a tireless advocate for the rights of professionals, understanding that every complaint, investigation or discipline matter has a direct and potentially lasting impact on his clients.
Prior to starting Koziebrocki Law, Josh was a partner at a leading Bay Street litigation firm. Josh is also a former Assistant Crown Attorney and has prosecuted all types of criminal cases. Josh is committed to community service. He has worked extensively with the Jays Care Foundation, serving as the founding chair of its Young Professionals Committee. He has also been involved in University governance, having served on the Governing Council and Business Affairs Board of the University of Toronto.
