Josh engages in the representation of oil and gas companies, including both operating and non-operating entities, and intra- and interstate transportation providers, in all areas of energy litigation, including royalty calculation, midstream cost disputes, contract disputes, and environmental damages. He represents municipal organizations in areas including regulatory compliance, zoning, intergovernmental relations, and contract negotiation.
Josh has represented a working interest owner in complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation arising from the occurrence of the Bayou Corne Sinkhole in Assumption Parish, Louisiana. Prior to trial, Josh and the Bradley Murchison litigation team obtained favorable summary judgments resulting in the dismissal of all tort and breach of contract claims brought against the firm’s client by the nation’s largest independent brine producer.
Josh also assisted in the negotiation and execution of agreements for the construction of industrial infrastructure to support the development of a billion dollar greenfield methanol project in St. James Parish, Louisiana. Prior to joining the firm, Josh served as a term Clerk for the Honorable Paul J. deMahy in the Louisiana Sixteenth Judicial District Court.
