Leslie Diaz earned a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida, and a Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 2000.

Leslie served as a Staff Attorney for the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, where she learned firsthand how the federal courts analyze and decide immigration issues. She has been practicing immigration law since 2005.

Leslie practices immigration law exclusively, specializing in removal defense, family-based immigration, and federal and appellate court litigation. She also has expertise with complex employment-based applications, including National Interest Waivers, EB-1 petitions, and O visas. She has represented clients in Immigration Courts throughout the country to obtain relief from removal. She represents detained clients in bond proceedings. Additionally, she has extensive experience filing appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals and federal Courts of Appeals. Leslie frequently files lawsuits in federal courts to obtain immigration benefits for her clients. She regularly appears before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and works on consular proceedings abroad, on behalf of foreign nationals seeking family- and business-based immigration benefits.

Leslie is admitted to practice law in the state of Georgia. She has been admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second, Fourth, Ninth and Eleventh Circuits. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, where she is a mentor to local chapter members and has served on various committees as liaison with the different immigration agencies. She regularly speaks on immigration topics publicly and at continuing legal education seminars.
