Linas Grikis, a member of the Firm's nationally recognized Health Care practice group, relies on his years of experience to routinely provide practical assistance to clients in the health care industry on a variety of transactional and regulatory matters. He regularly serves as lead counsel in connection with mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other health care transactions. He has negotiated complex, multiparty contracts on behalf of clients, including various types of pharmaceutical service agreements. His experience includes the representation of institutional health care providers (hospitals, health systems and integrated delivery systems), large physician groups, specialty providers and health care private equity firms.
Recently, he has represented, as lead counsel, several regional community hospitals in developing affiliations with multi-billion dollar health care systems. He has also represented, as lead counsel, a nationally recognized not-for-profit health care system in connection with its affiliation with a regional hospital.
In addition to his deep transactional experience, Linas also regularly advises hospital and health systems and other health care clients on regulatory compliance with licensure, accreditation, other state and federal regulatory matters, corporate governance and compliance issues.
Linas writes and lectures regularly on health law and corporate matters. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Loyola University–Chicago, where he teaches the health law section of the Law School’s legal writing program.
