Lucy E. Main advises Canadian and international clients on a wide range of estate and trust matters, including drafting estate planning documents, establishing private charitable foundations for individuals and families, helping with the administration of estates, assisting in the setting up and maintenance of trusts and providing support to litigators in contentious matters. In 2016 she was awarded the Hoffstein Book Prize by the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) for her contributions to these areas of law.

She earned her Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation from the international Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in 2013.

She has been an executive member of the OBA’s Tax Section and Trusts and Estates Section, and a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation’s organizing committee for the annual Ontario conference.

Lucy frequently writes and co-authors articles for Trusts and Trustees, Journal of International Tax, and Trust and Corporate Planning. In 2019, Lucy joined the editorial board of Thomson Reuters’ Taxes & Wealth Management quarterly publication. She also regularly presents at legal conferences including for STEP, CTF and American Bar Association. In 2018, she was invited to be a faculty member of the Osgoode Intensive Program in Wills and Estates.
