Mark Smith is a business and regulatory lawyer who focuses his practice on economic development, government relations and telecommunications and utility matters.
Mark has been involved in numerous state and local tax incentive projects with capital investments ranging from less than $2 million to more than $1 billion. He also represents a wide range of clients before the Tennessee General Assembly and before various State agencies and local governmental entities. Mark serves as Assistant General Counsel to an association of over 150 municipal utilities and rural electric cooperatives and regularly works with some of the nation's largest municipally-owned and cooperatively organized utility systems. He is a frequent speaker on economic development, legislative, telecommunications and utility law issues. Mark resides on Signal Mountain and splits his time between the firm's Chattanooga and Nashville offices.
