Ms. Castro’s practice includes all areas of immigration and nationality law, including employment-based immigration, family-based immigration, deportation and removal hearings, naturalization and citizenship cases, cases under the Violence Against Women Act, and consular processing of visas and green cards in San Diego and throughout the United States. She was selected to the Best Lawyers in America© “Ones to Watch” list for 2024. This award highlights the most promising younger lawyers in the country.
Prior to joining HFM, Ms. Castro worked at California Rural Legal Assistance, an organization dedicated to providing services to California’s low-income communities. Her experience also includes working on Special Immigrant Juvenile Cases with Casa Cornelia Law Center and serving as an intern for American Bar Association’s Immigration Justice Project and the Immigration Center for Women and Children. In addition, she was a Judicial Law Clerk for the San Diego Superior Court. She began her law career as an intern at HFM while in law school.
Ms. Castro is a certified paralegal and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
