Michael Wiesemann practices civil litigation focusing on the representation of physicians and health care professionals in medical malpractice litigation and health care law.
Prior to joining Baum O’Connor Cullen Chmiel in 2018, Mr. Wiesemann was an attorney in the Pittsburgh office of a large international firm where he represented clients in civil litigation and transactional matters. He has managed clients’ national and local litigation portfolios and has advocated for his clients throughout Pennsylvania state courts. His litigation experience also includes successfully defending several multimillion-dollar lawsuits alleging violations of both federal and state law.
While in law school at the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Wiesemann was a judicial extern to the Hon. Jeffrey Deller of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, in addition to receiving the Murray S. Love award for his skills in trial advocacy.
Mr. Wiesemann also volunteers as the head coach of the University of Pittsburgh’s nationally award-winning undergraduate mock trial program.
