Miles D. Jolley is an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office of Smith, Currie & Hancock LLP. Miles concentrates his practice in the areas of construction law and litigation, including representation of construction project owners, contractors, construction managers, major trade contractors, sureties, architects, and engineers. Miles’ transactional work includes representation of construction project owners, general contractors, architects and engineers in the preparation and negotiation of design agreements and construction contracts utilizing traditional and non-traditional delivery systems (such as design-build, stipulated sum and cost of the work with a guaranteed maximum price). Miles also advises construction project owners in real time regarding legal issues arising during construction.
Miles received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies.
He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law. Miles received several awards while in law school, including the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Construction Law, the University of Richmond School of Law Nina R. Kestin Service Award and the Richmond School of Law Pro Bono Certificate.
