He has served as first chair in federal and state court trials; and briefed and argued dispositive motions and appeals before the federal district courts, state appellate courts, state supreme courts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals. He has also briefed cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Chambers USA calls Mo “a very good thinker,” “fantastic,” and “an excellent litigator.”
Since the summer of 2018, Mo continues to represent Florida’s Governors and Secretaries of State on election-related and redistricting matters before the federal and state trial courts, the Florida Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He served as lead counsel for the State in federal cases filed during the 2018 recount for three statewide races. Of the nineteen federal cases filed against the State since the summer of 2018, where Mo served as lead counsel, seventeen cases were dismissed (two after reversal of the district court’s post-trial judgment), and two cases settled.
Mo has also represented the Florida House of Representatives on issues of statewide importance. His work for the House spans two speakerships on issues as varied as cannabis regulation and transportation policy.
