Nick works with both employer and employee clients to find practical solutions to all manner of workplace issues. Nick's areas of expertise include severance package negotiations, wrongful dismissal claims, human rights and workplace discrimination matters, employment standards disputes, health and safety reprisals, duty of fair representation complaints, and judicial reviews.

During his time with Ross & McBride LLP, Nick regularly appears as counsel before the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and the Divisional Court.

Nick completed his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History at Queen’s University and his Juris Doctor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. During law school, Nick served as Editor-in-Chief of Ultra Vires, the Faculty’s independent student newspaper, and as co-executive of the Labour & Employment Law Society. He was also a student caseworker at Downtown Legal Services, the Faculty’s community legal clinic, where he assisted individuals with their employment and residential tenancy issues. Prior to joining Ross & McBride, Nick articled at a leading labour and employment law firm in Toronto.

In his spare time, Nick enjoys golfing, cycling, country drives, and exploring new places. He has previously lived and attended school in Switzerland, England, and Scotland.

Brian Graff v. Real Crowd Capital Inc., 2023 CanLII 12654 (ON LRB):
Represented the Applicant in a multi-day hearing before the Ontario Labour Relations Board, which ultimately found in favour of the Applicant and awarded over $100,000 in damages.
Lemire v. Burley, 2021 ONSC 5036:
Successfully argued on behalf of the Defendant for dismissal of a defamation action by motion under s. 137.1 of the Courts of Justice Act.
James Murphy v. Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board, 2021 CanLII 58564 (ON LRB):
Successfully argued against the Respondent employer's request to dismiss the Applicant's reprisal claim (brought under the Occupational Health and Safety Act) for delay in filing.
