Oliver M. Kunz is a partner at Walder Wyss and is specialized in litigation in civil and criminal matters. He provides advice to parties in domestic and international commercial disputes, and represents them in trial and appellate proceedings as well as in enforcement proceedings and in international legal assistance matters. Oliver’s litigation practice covers a broad range of sectors, with a particular emphasis on the financial industry and technology-intensive sectors. In addition, he represents accused and injured parties in white-collar crime and fraud cases, in particular in relation to asset recovery. Finally, he assists clients in relation to internal investigations.
He regularly publishes in his areas of practice and has coauthored commentaries on jurisdictional and enforcement issues as well as appellate proceedings. He is considered „very skilled and knowledgeable“ (The Legal 500) in international rankings.
Oliver was educated at the University of Fribourg (lic.iur. in 2003 with the special mentions «European Law» and «bilingual» [German-French]). As a Fulbright fellow, he attended Stanford Law School where he graduated in 2010 with an LL.M. in Law, Science and Technology. Oliver joined Walder Wyss in 2004 after having worked as a student assistant in criminal law at the University of Fribourg and for a non-profit organisation.
Oliver speaks German, English and French. He is registered with the Zurich Bar Registry and is admitted to practice in all Switzerland.
