Rafael Fontana is a Senior Partner at Cuatrecasas. He has been the Senior Partner of Cuatrecasas since 2014. He is an expert lawyer specializing in tax, particularly in planning family business groups, and in acquisitions, mergers and joint ventures of national and international business groups.
He is a member of the board of directors of important business groups and of the board of trustees of several foundations. Mr. Fontana has advised on and been involved in the strategic planning of some of Spain’s and Portugal’s most significant transactions in recent years. He specializes in Mergers and Acquisitions and Tax.
Mr. Fontana is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association and received his Bachelor of Laws from Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1977. He is a graduate of Centro de Estudios Tributarios y Financieros de Barcelona and speaks both English and French.
