Ron principally consults on Commonwealth and State tax laws, tax dispute resolution and compliance enforcement. Ron specialises in complex trusts and trust disputes, succession and asset protection, business and investment structuring and tax sensitive commercial and property transactions for high wealth families, privately own businesses and small to medium enterprises.

He is a member of the Law institute of Victoria, the Law society of Tasmania and The Tax Institute.

Ron is a Chartered Tax Advisor of The Tax Institute and an Accredited Specialist Tax Law and member of the Tax Law Advisory Committee with the Law Institute of Victoria. He is a member of the Law Society of Tasmania’s Property and Commercial Law Committee, Vice Chair of the Tasmanian State Council, and member of the Tasmanian State Taxes Sub-committee of The Tax Institute and Chair of the Chartered Accountants Australian and New Zealand (CA ANZ) Tax Discussion Group No. 2.

    • Taxation of private companies – dividends, constructive dividends and company losses consulting
    • Taxation of high-net-worth individuals - personal services income, non-commercial losses and prepayments
    • Structuring and restructuring private enterprise groups
    • Capital gains tax - restructuring rollovers, discounts and small business concessions, the main residence exemption, compulsory acquisition exemption and succession on death consulting
    • GST - structuring, compliance and GST-free exemption consulting
    • State taxation - duty, land tax and payroll tax consulting and litigation
