Sara Janes is a partner at Weisbart Springer Hayes with a practice focused on appellate law. She represents clients in both state and federal court in a wide variety of subject matters including labor and employment, Title IX, complex contract disputes, trade secrets, complex family law matters like international child abduction under the Hague Convention, and class and collective actions.
A significant part of Ms. Janes’ practice consists of working together with her colleagues on pre-trial, trial, and post-trial matters, including dispositive motions, other significant motions, complex research, and jury charges. She loves writing and relishes the opportunity to present clear and cohesive arguments to courts explaining why her clients should prevail. She writes compelling briefs, coherently analyzes complex legal issues, and thoughtfully collaborates with other trial lawyers on strategy at every stage of a case. Ms. Janes is known for her clear and persuasive writing and has received statewide recognition for her work on multiple occasions.
Ms. Janes earned her law degree, with honors, from the University of Texas, and was an editor of the Texas Law Review. After spending the first several years of her legal career in the appellate section of a large international law firm, she joined Weisbart Springer Hayes at its inception in 2012.
