Steven R. Hardman is a partner in the Parkersburg office and a member of the Real Estate Group. He concentrates his practice on commercial, corporate, real estate, and oil and gas law and also has significant experience in civil litigation, particularly product liability and the defense of mass litigation.
Mr. Hardman has served as counsel to numerous banks and businesses, and has been involved in significant commercial transactions and commercial litigation. For more than 10 years, he has represented clients in matters before the West Virginia Public Service Commission, having generally represented five public service districts and a municipality in numerous matters. Those matters have included multiple rate cases, financial approval, public service district expansion and contraction and sale of real estate. He has significant administrative law experience, both with the Public Service Commission and other agencies, and as an administrative law hearing officer with regard to school consolidation.
He has served as the city attorney for the Town of North Hills since 1991, and has also served on boards of directors and in other capacities for numerous civic and charitable organizations. He also taught Constitutional Law for five years as an adjunct at West Virginia University - Parkersburg.
Mr. Hardman received his bachelor of arts degree, magna cum laude, from West Virginia University and his law degree in 1981 from the West Virginia University College of Law. He is a member of the West Virginia State Bar, West Virginia Bar Association and Wood County Bar Association.
