A former assistant U.S. attorney and counsel to the deputy attorney general, Spence Pryor is a trial lawyer who helps clients navigate government investigations involving critical business issues. Whether a company is investigating international corruption issues, responding to a data breach, or litigating a false claims act matter, Spence has the experience counseling his clients around the globe.
Spence is a seasoned trial lawyer and an experienced investigator. He helps businesses, boards, including audit and special committees, universities, nonprofits, executives, and individuals solve and avoid legal problems of all types. Spence has unique experience handling myriad legal matters throughout the U.S., as well as internationally. He was a member of Georgia’s Judicial Nominating Commission under Governor Perdue and has served on the board of visitors at the University of Georgia School of Law.
Spence concentrates his practice in white collar criminal defense, and investigations work including audit and special committee, government (state and federal), internal corporate, and congressional investigations. Spence regularly represents clients in matters involving corporate compliance, health care litigation, the False Claims Act (FCA) and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), cyber intrusion and data breach, Federal Trade Commission, and state AG investigations related to consumer protection issues, including deceptive and unfair trade practices, and internal corporate investigations, including audit committee and special committee investigations. Spence’s government investigations practice also includes routinely addressing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) issues and counseling clients on making and responding to FOIA requests.
