Veronica T. Hunter is a principal in the Houston, Texas, and Denver, Colorado, offices of Jackson Lewis P.C. She is the litigation manager for the Houston office. Her practice is exclusively focused on management-side labor and employment matters.
Veronica has extensive litigation experience, having defended employers in a broad variety of matters, including wage and hour class actions, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination, and systemic discrimination. She also conducts training on prevention of harassment and discrimination in the workplace, and compliance with leave laws.
Prior to Jackson Lewis, Veronica was an associate at a Los Angeles law firm, where she handled individual discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful discharge cases and wage and hour class actions filed in state and federal court, and in charges filed with government agencies. Before becoming an attorney, she worked in human resources for more than 10 years, including managing the human resources function for the West Coast operations of a multi-national corporation.
During law school, Veronica was inducted into the Order of the Coif, was a Sayre McNeil Scholar, and received her Mediation Certification at the Loyola Law School Center for Conflict Resolution.
