Mark has been married to Cathy for 40 years, and they have four daughters and two grandchildren. Mark operates a firm that serves clients in the field of family law in Mississippi.

He is the author of three American Bar Association books, How to Build and Manage a Family Law Practice, The Constructive Divorce, and Forms and, Checklists and Procedures for the Family Lawyer.

He has been a frequent speaker for the American Bar Association Family Law Section, The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, State Bar Associations, and the Mississippi Bar on issues of family law practice management and delivering world-class service.

Mark has received the following distinctions: Lawyer of the Year for his geographic area in Family Law, by Best Lawyers of America Best Law Firms in Mississippi, U.S. News & World Report Top Ten Attorney Award, National Academy of Family Law Attorneys Best Family Law Firm in Mississippi by Corporate INTL Magazine Best Family Law Firm—Mississippi by CorpAmerica Legal Elite, 2016 Mid-South Super Lawyers The Best Lawyers in America Martindale-Hubbell’s Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.

Mark was the recipient in 2014 of the Lawyers Citizenship Award and the Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year Award in 2011, and the 1996 Award of Merit presented by The Mississippi Bar. Mark has been Chairman of the Family Law Section of the Mississippi Bar twice and a member of the governing council of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association for two terms.
