José Antonio has more than 15 years of experience in giving legal advice on real estate law to all kinds of companies. In particular, he is specialized in operations involving the acquisition and transfer of real estate assets (shopping centers, office buildings, logistics warehouses, hotels, etc.) and real estate companies, rental of real estate property (existing, under construction, turnkey, etc.), real estate sale & lease back, financing real estate projects, construction contracts, condominium ownership and real estate complexes, as well as real estate restructuring operations and real estate registration and mortgage law.
In KPMG he leads the team engaged in providing legal advice on matters related to Real Estate and Construction Law.
He is a professor in the Business Law Masters Program of the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE), and Universidad Carlos III, both of them in Madrid.
He has published various articles in specialized real estate publications, and habitually speaks in courses and conferences related to the real estate sector.
Prior to joining KPMG Abogados, he was the Director in charge of the Real Estate Law Department of Deloitte Abogados y Asesores Tributarios. Before that, he developed his professional career in the Real Estate Law Department of Garrigues Abogados y Asesores Tributarios where he spent more than 8 years.
